* For more information on MDF, see question "What is MDF and what are the advantages of using it?"

MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) is an engineered wood product, manufactured by compressing softwood or hardwood fibres with wax and resin under high pressure and temperature. It is denser compared to particleboard and plywood and is used in both commercial and residential construction.

  1. MDF doesn't contract due to temperature fluctuations like natural wood. The swelling that occurs in MDF due to exposure to moisture is also minimal. It is a dimensionally stable wood product.
  2. Medium Density Fiberboard lacks grain, and it is easy to drill and cut without risking damage.
  3. It has a smooth surface without kinks and knots.
  4. MDF holds better to hinges and screws thanks to its high density.
  5. It is environmentally friendly since it is manufactured from recycled wood products.

To initiate the design, we need the overall size of each appliance. There is no such thing as "standard" appliances, and refrigerators especially are getting bigger all the time. Due to this, we prefer that appliance models be provided before the cabinet order is finzalized to ensure everything will fit and proper clearances are observed.

Linear foot pricing is simply the standard 10x10 kitchen pricing divided by 20 lineal feet.

The Home Decorators “All Plywood Advantage” ensures the strength required to support any countertop material that you may select, and no additional reinforcing is required.

We STRONGLY recommend against removing your old cabinetry. Delays as the result of weather, strikes, accidents, etc. may occur and you do not want to be without the use of your kitchen any longer than possible.

For installation, you can always count on HOME SERVICES from The Home Depot by simply calling 1-877-979-6683.
